Kristján Steinn Kristjánsson is an artist and composer, exploring sounds within the context of the everyday as well as the effect it has on humans and non-humans. Seeking new forms to embody it in an immersive setting. Sculpting existing realities and objects into new situations and emphasizing states of being.
In a span of a 15 minute trip the Elliðaár river starts to form harmonies and sing, giving the valley of Elliðaárdalur a voice. Before you know it, like a frog in a boiling pot, you have emerged in the river itself. At this point a few electronic instruments accompany the composition, alongside a heavy sub, representing the powerful stream of the river.
